  YouView’s future success is dependent on bringing to market a range of consumer devices from different suppliers and in different categories, which maintain the high standards of security, stability and performance necessary to deliver the YouView experience and content offering.  Working closely with the Chief Architect and Head of Engineering, the Lead Architect Consumer Device will help drive the definition of YouView’s consumer device profiles.  The Lead Architect Consumer Device will also be responsible for the evolution of specifications relating to the core functionality of YouView consumer devices, not only by adding new functionality but by seeking ways to remove ambiguity, reduce implementation costs and increase testability.
