USEFUL TIPS

We welcome direct approaches but would stress that we are a small company; and don't have armies of recruiters or HR folks to review CVs and write nice letters or run shiny recruitment days. We try to make sure that our staff are focused on the development and delivery of a great consumer product. We are always pleased to hear from talented individuals and if you're interested in being considered for a role, we have some simple requests:

  1. Make sure you've attached your CV to the email. (You'll be surprised how many people forget this!)
  2. Give us as much info as possible about the type of role you're looking for; as well as whether you're looking for a contract or permanent position.
  3. Do give us an idea of your salary expectations or rates - we will be honest about what we have to offer in return and will not waste your time.
  4. Do give us an indication of your availability. Our focus is on our technical delivery so sometimes interview scheduling can take a week or two - if you already have 99 offers on the table, we can act accordingly if you tell us.

What we can promise you:

  1. Your CV will be read. It won't be sent outside of YouView. It will be stored securely.
  2. Any salary details you provide will be stored with your CV. If you don't want us to keep a record after we've talked - just let us know and we will delete your details.
  3. We may call you from time to time to check out what you're up to, tell you about cool new jobs with us and generally try to keep in touch - some of our best employees were our friends a long time before we hired them - but we have to start somewhere.
