YouView launches extended internship scheme for 2015

YouView has signalled its commitment to developing new talent with the launch of an extended internship scheme for students.

From today, applications are open for young technologists to join the UK’s fastest-growing on demand TV service in a series of 12-month and three-month paid placements, beginning in June 2015. Following the success of the summer 2014 inaugural scheme for students, YouView has now committed to year-long placements for the first time across five business areas including visual design, service operations, marketing, HR and PR.

In addition, three-month summer placements will be available offering opportunities to work on cutting edge projects and develop key skills for both the UK TV and technology industries. Applicants can find the full list of available internship roles at www.youview.com/jobs.

YouView’s summer 2014 internships, which received an average score of 9/10 on ratemyplacement.co.uk, resulted in more than a third of the interns receiving offers of either permanent roles or continued project work at the company. The interns worked on a range of recent updates on YouView including the launch of Netflix, BBC Connected Red Button and Quest OD from Discovery.

The 2015 intake includes roles in visual design, interaction design, HR, marketing, PR, project management, content development, technical architecture, testing, operations and automation development.
